The Foundation was established to honor the memory and sacrifice of Captain Andrew R. Houghton by providing support to a number of charitable and educational organizations which were supported by Captain Houghton, organizations which exemplify the ideals to which he was dedicated, and by providing financial assistance to cadets and cadet activities at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

We've Been Busy

This has been a busy 12mo! On Nov 11, 2010 we had the 2nd Annual Captain Andy Houghton Award Dinner at Strake and we've also hosted the 2011 "Drive-On" Golf Tournament. Updates and pictures will be posted soon....

2010 Drive-On Golf Tournament

The 2010 Drive-On Golf tournament on May 17th was a huge hit. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, donors, and golfers in this tough economy, we raised a record amount for the Foundation!

Andy Houghton Awards Dinner

The inaugural Captain Andrew Houghton Award Dinner was held on November 12, 2009. With over 70 attendees, the dinner was an excellent success. Kenny Lahart (SJ '12) was the award winner. Pat Moran (SJ '66) was the keynote speaker. All proceeds from the dinner went towards the Captain Andrew Houghton Scholarship at Strake Jesuit.

West Point Classmate's Marathon

Brendan Mullen, a classmate of CPT Houghton's at West Point, shares his story of running the Marine Corps Marathon and ING Miami Marathons in honor of CPT Houghton and three other classmates who were killed in Iraq.
